The Challenge
The Tambacounda region, despite being rich in natural resources and agricultural potential, suffers from infrastructural underdevelopment, rural exodus and limited access to international markets for local products.
The Solution
Integrated approach linking urban development, agricultural enhancement and creation of complete production chains, from cultivation to processing to export, with strong emphasis on training the local workforce.
The Results
Transformation of Tambacounda into a regional development hub, with 200% increase in agricultural production, creation of 5,000 jobs and significant reduction in youth emigration to coastal urban areas.
