Bilingual (French-English), the country is a strategic commercial crossroads with the ports of Douala and the new deep-water port of Kribi. The economy is based on oil, agriculture (cocoa, coffee, bananas, cotton), timber and a growing manufacturing sector. Vision 2035 aims to make Cameroon an emerging country.
